The beacon

Enter next to the Beacon .Take off spot 10 /20 m beyond .

Stinley's Wedge

Good little wedge, doesnt get too big too often but when iyt does its lekker. Good barrels, mostly bodyboarders

The Wreck

Not to be confused with the Wedge, the Wreck is also a wedge, but with a lot more going for it, when it breaks. Not as consistent, but a much longer ride and better form. The Wreck is in the corner just on the east side of Robberg. Has similarities with Dunes - which probably makes it the best beach break wave around Plett. Does need a bigger swell to wrap in, or a more southerly or southeasterly swell. Waves bounce off the peninsula and peak off the wreck forming wicked A-frame barrels.

Robberg

Good spot known by many in the area, gets classic especially in winter months. This is the place to be when the Wedge is too crowded.

Lookout beach

This spot, the main beach at Plett, lacks real power and closes out more often than not. At certain times of the year, it seems to improve quite dramatically. The sand shifts, the swell comes in cleanly, the wind eases further to the west. It then becomes a fun diversion, but with classic surf spots nearby, it's not the most alluring of temptations. Apparently there are some good waves further down the beach near the river mouth, often just a small channel between the lagoon and the sea.

Keurbooms

The spot has two breaks a left and a right, both on sand banks. Although the sand banks move around from year to year the right is the better wave working on mid to high tide.

The Wedge

Tucked away in the corner near Cape Town harbour, The Wedge is the first surf spot on the stretch of beach that runs all the way to Blouberg. You have to park in the harbour and clamber over concrete dolloses to access this spot. The swell does weird and wonderful things here. As it refracts round the harbour wall, it bounces and travels sideways to join another swell in a sharp triangular peak that can be very hollow at times. However, the takeoff is often the best part of the wave, because it devotes most of its energy to the initial barrel. Best in any East wind. Needs a huge general swell to filter all the way around to the Wedge.

Selecta's Wedge

A well know Wedge, much more prefered by bodyboarders. Gets nice and hollow when theres big swell comming in.

Plett Wedge

Not much pretty safe and just practice surfing.
