You can check the swell from the car, since the road passes close the coast all along from Qingdao.Dapinglan is a village built on a point, center position in the middle of two bays. Right (South) one breaks on a longer lefthander.Expect some crowds on the weekend-road because the area is the nearest seaside of Qingdao city.
Another place I stumbled across by accident. Excelent abd very long wave, noone around. Very isolated and tough to get to but if you do you
will not be dissapointed.
10 km north is the old defense wall from the war, polisario landmines are south from it,means just around here.
Once you spot the "danger mines " sign on the road, you are almost there.
Stay in the tracks of vehicles.
OumLabouir Surf Spot Guide, Western Sahara Nestled in the remote dunes of Western Sahara, OumLabouir delivers a pristine right-hand point break that carves long, hollow lines over a sandy bottom peppered with rocks. This experienced surfer's gem offers fast, ledgey sections mixed with powerless walls, firing consistently for 150 days a year in an uncrowded […]
The best wave in western sahara. One of the longest, most consistent and uncrowded waves I have ever surfed. Been here several times for work and never another surfer in sight. Im coming back asap.
Named after the local Garden routes Lourie bird, weve seen a few of them around here. Tricky spot to access. It is inbetween Vicbay and Harolds Bay so you gotta get there with a boat. We found it by accident while fishing up here. Surfed it twice now and deffinately planning on making more of a trip to there. The wave breaks into a pretty large rocky bay close to a rivermouth, (Not sure which river) so you wanna watch out for sharks. Its an intense wave that breaks over a shallow reef which eventually closes out so you gotta pull out towards the end. If you wipeout you will be washed up into the small beach. There are no roads or paths and paddling back out is tricky especially with big swell and fierce currents so time the sets well.
Classic spot, very few know of it. Looks simular to kokkerot. Pretty exposed but needs a fairly big SSW swell to start working and peeling down the reef properly. When theres a huge winter swell (8+foot) this place will be around 6foot.
it is really easy to surf there , during the summer you can find some problems with the lifeguards because the currents are dangerous there, but it is negociable.
