This beach is one of the best spots for surfing in Oporto. The people is very kindfull and receptive, mainly to unknown surfers. Many parking spots; the beach has a european blue flag, so, the water and the beach in general is very clean. Just becareful with the rocks.

ight or left depending on the swell, tide and sand on the bar. often peels flawlessly along the side of a well formed spit of sand shaped by the river outflow. big river=big rips, be prepared to paddle hard. you can always get out and walk back up the sand and jump in at the top.
