Wustrow Surf Spot Guide, Germany Nestled on Germany's Baltic Sea coast, Wustrow delivers mellow beach-break waves that peel both right and left over a forgiving sandy bottom, creating a relaxed vibe perfect for uncrowded sessions. This spot shines with its powerless waves, ideal for honing skills without overwhelming power, offering a rare empty lineup in […]
best time is after heavy raining periods when the river carries alot of water. it makes the wave suckier
Windswellspot ! Starts at 5-6 Bft from westerly directions. Many wind-and kitesurfer but enough space for all... Watch the rocks in the shoreline.
You will have to put your car on a train to get it on the island. There is a youth hostel and that is all most of us can affort (believe me!). Rich people from all over Germany have houses and properties there and they do not want any surfing scumbags (my personal impression). You can get boards there, either from a shop or directly from one of Germanys few shapers.
Windswell only ! Does only work with strong easterly winds (min.5-6 Bft) !
Most crowded spot at that coastline when it´s on.
Parking in Timmendorf ( Big parking lots ).
there is a big parking area on the spot. after parking your car put on your wetsuit, take your car and have fun.
No groundswell, only WINDSWELL! Needs min. 5-6 Bft / 40 kmh+.
Kind of a Kamikaze-spot because of all the big rocks under the waterline! Watch out...
If the windswell is big enough, waves are breaking further away from the rocks and you can have fun. Don´t surf to close to the beach (...accept you have a plasticbomber-board).
Watch the tide and wind direction ! The side currents can be horrible ! Needs onto ground running tide.
