The gate is always open but on the off chance it is closed there is a spot on the other side of the road for parking. The locals in the area will look at you like you have three heads but they are really friendly and curious. There is a great place to camp a few miles down the road at Salsman Provincial Park.

It only works with a swell from the East/Northeast and is pretty infrequent. But on the right day, will put Dennis Beach (the other NB spot) to shame. Very clean waves, not choppy at all. Great sandy beach to hang out at with noone around.

Don't drive all the way down the road behind the dune - it wrecks the beach - not sure why people are allowed to do this. Park your car and walk down the beach.
