It pretty much works all year long, so if you just want to go and surf hardcore, for your whole vacation this is the spot. Picks up all swell.
During the summer is the prime season for this spot, and expect prime crowds. There will be longboarders in florescent speedos going over the falls while you are setting up for the tube. Had two boards mangled because of the idiots who go there. Be careful, and bring ding repair.

It's a great surf spot where the waves grow bigger then Santa Catalina spot, there is a right and a left wave, The rigt works with smalls swell and its very hollow, the left stars working with more then 6 feet swell and its a very fast and great wave.
Cimarron offers a left break in a beautiful and isolated area. Needs at least 6ft in Catalina to start working.
This spot is very hard to find. There is a great place to stay called Rollo's Cabins which is very close to the famous Santa Catalina surf spot. Rollo hooked us up with his cousin Chalido who brought us on his boat to this tiny island a few miles off shore. To get here you have to be a traveller!
