very easy and fun wave to surf, for all surfers. had a blast there

Barrigona

You can park right in front of the beach, next to the rivermouth but don't leave anything valuable in the car. Best would be to get there with a local car. Don't get me wrong, the beach is great and the people living in Esterones/Samara and in the area around a very friendly but sometimes rental cars get broken into.
There are strong currents at Barrigona.
You can get tubes on days with offshore wind and strong swell. Right by the River when you're entering the beach is a beach break spot. On the westend, next to the rocks, is a point break.
I've witnessed maximum 3 people in the water surfing during the weekend.

NICE CHANNEL OPEN RIGHT LEFT WAVES I FUN IN I CALL THE BARRIER REEF THUNDER REEF.

Tico's Point

Tico´s is a beach break that can get 6 ft when the correct swell and wind hit.
The best time to surf is after raining season and always early in the morning.
Before 11 PM we usually get offshore wind and the wave works better. It means fast and hollow;
There is no crowd and no place to stay or have lunch. So take water, food, sun cream and whatever you want.

Silver Beach

It is just an ordinary beachbreak with all typed of folk in the water. It can get big and heavy when swell hits - which means a lot of paddling. Have experienced it double overhead and holding very well - steep drops, big bottom turns, hollow and NO crowd.

Robertsport

CAMPING IS ON THE BEACH. BRING UR OWN BOOZZZ AND FOOD.

Mamba Point

You will probably get shot at if you surf there now. Don't leave a car unattended...it will get broken into!

Fisherman's

This spot only works with a bit of size and favourable swell direction. Yet, when it is on, it is an amazing left - plenty of sections for frothing, turning, hitting and ocassional hollow sections.

8th street

Don't hesitate - just drop in and charge. When there is a bit of swell, this beach break is really fun. A sand bar sits at the end of 8th street, creating some fun rights and lefts - the lefts can be very hollow and fast.

Dagbego

Dagbego Surf Spot Guide, Ivory Coast Tucked away on Ivory Coast's wild coastline, Dagbego delivers fun right-hand sandbar waves that peel over a sandy bottom, offering pure joy for surfers chasing uncrowded lines. This exposed beach break vibe feels remote and rewarding, with rides that link sections on good days. It's the kind of spot […]
